Apple news that may be announced on March 21
Apple is preparing to make the annual product announcements on March 21st, 2016. High expectations are there for newer geek toys from one of the favorite vendors which is apple. Some of the possible noted things are:
- New iPhone 5se Headlining the event will be the 4-inch iPhone SE and a new 9.7-inch iPad. Rumors suggest the iPhone SE will look nearly identical to the iPhone 5s, but it will include new internal hardware that brings it in line with newer Apple devices. It is rumored to have an A9 chip, an improved camera, and NFC support for use with Apple Pay.
- New Apple Air 3. The new 9.7-inch iPad has been referred to as the iPad Air 3, but it may still be branded as an iPad Pro. The device is said to include many iPad Pro features, like a four-speaker design, a Smart Connector for connecting accessories, and display improvements for Apple Pencil support. It may also be the first iPad to feature a rear LED flash.
- Smaller iPad Pro. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro may soon have a complement. According to several reports, Apple will unveil a 9.7-inch iPad Pro at the company’s March event. Like its bigger brother, the smaller iPad Pro would come with support for Apple’s digital stylus and its attached keyboard. It’ll also be cheaper than Apple’s current iPad Pro line, but like its larger counterpart, it will focus on the enterprise, according to reports.
- Apple Wristbands. Apple also plans to introduce new Apple Watch bands at the event. Existing bands will likely be available in new colors and there may be new product lines.
- Apple Air Notebook. The MacBook Air could be getting a much-needed boost this month. Rumors suggest Apple will mostly go with a new 15-inch MacBook Air to complement its current 13-inch model. Both versions would come with updated specs, including better processors and perhaps even improved screens.
- iMacs. Apple products tend to fight one another to gain market shares and do not leave out the iMac which is still there but sometimes a forgotten child in Apple’s world.
- Tim Cook on privacy. Apple’s case with the FBI isn’t going away anytime soon, which means CEO Tim Cook will discuss it at the company’s March event. Expect Cook to talk extensively about privacy, his company’s commitment to it and how he plans to improve user privacy in the future. Apple has chosen privacy as its top political concern this year, and that will be made abundantly clear both in court and in the court of public opinion at its March 21 event.
- Improved iOS 9. iOS 9.3, which is currently in beta will have the following enhancements:
- Intelligent Search and Siri
- Install size optimizations
- Performance improvements
- Transit directions
- Split-screen multitasking for iPad
