Delphi Developer Days 2016 Baltimore [caption id="attachment_380" align="aligncenter" width="770"][/caption] The Delphi Developer Days 2016 which was held in Baltimore was a top notch 2 day knowledge fest that went over various aspects of the Delphi language. As always Cary Jensen, Loy Anderson and Nick Hodges gave the utmost sessions to the attending group. Each developer was able to interact with one another dealing with various issues they may have using the Delphi language. All in all each session was roughly an hour and dealt with debugging, programming methods and tools to impact daily Delphi programming. The room was packed with programmers in the Northeast section of the United States that all came to Baltimore. Baron Software once again attended as done in the release past and had a…

Rave Reports for Delphi Business Review

Rad Studio Delphi Development
Rave Reports for Delphi Business Review Recently the decision was made to review Rave Reports by Nevrona to make a decision whether it would fit any type of long term application development. The process took a little time to review the capabilities of what Rave Reports could do for any end user when compared to other report generators such as Fast Reports, Quick Reports or Report Builder. The final decision was to stay with Fast Reports due to the reasons listed below. Rave Report does have some merit on why they could be your solution but after a very careful review it fell behind in quite a few necessary things. These can be fixed but the current setting it seems that Nevrona will not implement any of them. Rad Studio Delphi Development, Software development Concepts, Software Events
Delphi Boot Camp with a free 100% off Delphi development tool. Embarcadero is pushing Delphi and C++ Builder during the 2 training weeks to gain market share. This comes prior to the Godzilla package that is on the horizon. Godzilla or Tokyo has been promised to include Linux server support. After taking the C++ Builder Boot Camp with the provided information it was an amazing enjoyable week. I am expecting the similar with the Delphi Boot Camp as well. The purpose of the boot camp is to demonstrate the Delphi language with the possible things that can be done on various platforms, the intention is to grow the Delphi developers base. Click on the image below which will take you to the web site for additional information as well as…

Computer PC Tips - bits and bytes, Rad Studio Delphi Development, Software development Concepts, Software Events

Embarcadero Webinar - Useful C++ Features You Should be Using
The Embarcadero webinar are usually excellent and short providing you insight on the latest features for C++ Builder. Even if you do not use the product there is a possibility that you will pick up some new clue on how to use C++. David Millington knowledge on the product line is a breathe of fresh air and hopefully puts this compiler on a better path for getting updates or upgrades. The future of the product will be for Linux server application development by the fall. In comparison with Visual Studio, Rad Studio does cost money but the product is superior in usage and application development. You can use Visual Studio Community which is free but it is at times confusing…

Embarcadero closing down their Spanish office

Rad Studio Delphi Development, Software Events
Embarcadero is closing down their Spanish office What does that really mean for Delphi / C++ Builder developers, not really sure at this point. Are they moving the software work over to another office located in a different city, no one knows with the exception of the Idera - Embarcadero staff. The Spanish office did work on most of the IDE, Delphi runtime library, GetIT, Installer, some database components, Bluetooth components, IoT, perform QA, and other miscellaneous tasks such as support for the product line. The 80 or more staff members will be either laid off or moved elsewhere in the company based on the experience level. The staff did the most work on the RAD Studio product which includes Delphi and C++ Builder. Based on dealing…
