If you are using the single-user version of TrackPro can easily move TrackPro to a different computer; proceed as follows:
- Make a backup copy of the TrackPro.mdb and TrackPro.ini files located in the folder that you assigned for TrackPro data.
Note: If you cannot find these files it is because Windows does not want you to know where your files are. See Unhide Data Files. |
- Install the latest version of TrackPro on the new computer.
- Copy the TrackPro.mdb and TrackPro.ini files to the folder that you assigned for the TrackPro data on the new computer. You will receive an overwrite warning; choose to overwrite the existing files.
Multi-user Version
If you wish to move a server proceed as follows:
- Make a backup copy of the TrackPro.mdb and files located in the folder that you assigned for TrackPro data.
- Review the instructions for the multi-user installations.
- Install the latest version of TrackPro on the new server. Be sure to make a note of the program and data folders that you have assigned.
- Copy the TrackPro.mdb and file to the folder that you assigned for the data on the new computer. You will receive an overwrite warning; choose to overwrite the existing file.
- Open TrackPro and enter your Product Key on the Modify License Screen.
- If the network address has changed, you will have to perform an reinstall on all the client computers.
